Forbes magazine bets on an edition in Ecuador, from July 15

Carlos Mantilla will be the editor-in-chief of the publication that will, in principle, have 30% local content

ForbesInternationalannounced this morning the next release of its editionForbes Ecuador,in association with HT Media. The latter is a publishing house founded by journalist Álex Milberg, in 2016, when he relaunchedForbes Argentina.

The new Spanish edition is scheduled to launch onlineon July 15, 2021,while the paper magazine will be on sale on August 15. The publication is, furthermore, the product of aassociation with Praisemark Cía. and Carlos Mantilla, former managing director ofTradeand who will be the editor in chief.

The magazine in Ecuador will be managed with the same principle as at the international level:“A platform for business, people and companies, which will speak the best about the future of Ecuador in business terms, betting a lot on the moment we live in.Hoping that it will lead to Ecuador having more investment and more work for the people,” Mantilla said.Forbes Ecuadorwill also organize local conferences ofForbesand live events.

“We are excited to partner with HT Media to launchForbes Ecuador”,said Peter Hung ofForbes. “We are committed to championing entrepreneurship around the world and adding an edition in Ecuador will further increase our presence in South America,” he added.

Mantilla commented that at first the editorial material will be70% ofForbes Internationaland 30% from Ecuador.In the country they will have a small editorial staff made up of recognized journalists such as Santiago Ayala and María Judith Rosales and the idea is that over time the editorial percentage will be 50%-50%.

He added thatForbesbecame interested in having a presence in Ecuador as a result of the political and economic change that has occurred in the country.The magazine has editions in Argentina, Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and will soon be launched in Uruguay and Paraguay.
