IDB develops a contest for young people and get ideas that transform Latin America

The winning project will receive $10,000.

The application stage for the INTegrad@s Ideas to Transform Latin America and the Caribbean contest organized by the Institute for the Integration of Latin America and the Caribbean (INTAL) of the Integration and Trade Sector of theInter-American Development Bank (IDB).

The call is open to young people between 18 and 35 years old who reside in the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Suriname , Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. They must present innovative ideas and solutions to improve integration and trade in the region.

There are two stages of the contest, the first, which is until September 14, consists of presenting an idea that meets the requirements and a jury must select 10 finalists. Once those are selected, the proposal must be presented at the INTAL Connection event.

Within these, a winner will be chosen who will receive $10,000 and technical support. They can form a group of three people.

The topics addressed are:

  • Trade policies, agreements and integration mechanisms.
  • Technology and digitalization in the productive and commercial framework.
  • Gender and international trade from a broad perspective.
  • Protection of the environment and natural resources.
