Andean Business Meeting generated more than $ 1.6 million, 48% more than the 2020 edition

The tenth edition of theAndean Business Meeting, organized by the Andean Community of Nations (CAN)He closed with business expectations for more than $ 1.6 million, a figure that represents a 48 % increase in the daily average of this indicator, compared to last year's version of the event, according to the block.

Framed in the objective of the safe reactivation of the regional economy through an innovative format, this meeting, which took place from June 21 to 4 in a virtual way, was attended by more than 100 entrepreneurs fromBolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru; However, there were previous phases in which exporters were trained.

In the first stage of this activity, carried out from May 18 to 28, more than 70 Andean exporters strengthened their negotiation skills from the hand of specialized consultants in commercial sales speech, communication skills and nonverbal language, differential factor of its offer, storytelling, inter alia.

On June 2, four sessions of pitch From the sectors of agrifood, manufactures for the home and personal care and clothing, in which more than 30 buyers of the block knew firsthand the best of the Andean exportable offer and chose, according to their interest, the companies to specify business appointments one by one in the next stage.

Finally, on June 4, more than 90 business appointments were carried out between exporters and buyers of the block, in which an average business expectations were reached by appointment of $ 17,612, doubling the figure reached in the 2020 edition and evidencing the importance of generating joint promotion activities that allow the commercial preparation of exporters and the validation of the offer prior to business quotes.

The general secretary of the CAN, Jorge Hernando Pedraza, and The president of Procolombia and current coordinator of the Andean Committee of Export Promotion Authorities, Flavia Santoro, recognized the importance of the results obtained in this edition of the Andean Business Meeting.

"From the General Secretariat of the CA, we highlight that in the middle of the pandemic one has achieved one more edition of this meeting, which has allowed Andean entrepreneurs to specify new businesses, show the best of their offer and boost their commercial activities, thus contributing to the economic and social reactivation of the region," said Pedraza.
