Ecuadorian agribusiness companies received donation of masks and kits from the Government of South Korea

It is the second donation of equipment to combat the pandemic, the first was in October 2020 to the Ministry of Production.

Twelve Ecuadorian plants of the agroindustrial sector received as a donationn 12,000 KF-80 face masksand12 kitsfor use by companies, as support to solve the health crisis by theCovid-19.

The benefited companies are part of the Technology Advisory and Solutions Program from Korea (TASK), within the framework of the Korea and Ecuador International Cooperation 2019-2021. These are: Barments Frozen Food "Easy Juice", Agrodelicorp; Biolcom; Cafecom; Ecuaconservas; Gasgua; Hortaleg; Increase; Lojana Industry of Spices; Olinka Velez, Toltkito and TripicMax.

The companies have also received advice from Korean experts in order to strengthen their capacities to export to the Asian market and foster further cooperation.

Bécker Anasi, Business Director of Jugo Fácil, one of the companies that received the donation, pointed out that they have biosafety measures and are concerned about rigorously complying with safety standards within the company, thus guaranteeing the health of consumers.

“The donated kit (1 portable saccharimeter, 1 salinity meter, 1 thermometer and 1 PH meter), we have incorporated into the plant's laboratory; While the masks have been distributed to all staff, they have served us as an effective mechanism to protect ourselves from Covid, ”Anasi said.

Meanwhile, the minister,Ivan Ontaneda, highlighted the expansion of cooperation opportunities between South Korea and Ecuador.
