Victoria’s Secret opens its first store in Ecuador

The brand has bras, panties, pajamas, perfumes, among other options. Sizes range from 32A to 38DDD.

Thepanties, bras from the Dream Angels or Very Sexy collections are already in the country. They arrive with the opening of the first store inVictoria’s Secret, which took place this Wednesday in Guayaquil.

The American company, recognized for its fragrances and clothing, opened alongsideBath and Body Works, in the San Marino Shopping. The latter opened last November.

Both brands are brought by the David Enterprises Group, a conglomerate of various companies based in Panama.

Vanessa de Souza,marketing coordinatorfrom Victoria's Secret Latin America, says thatThe idea of ​​opening a store in Ecuador dates back to 2013.

However, due to certain international factors, it has been postponed. until it came to fruition in December, three days before Christmas.

He assures that the interest in being in the country arises from the importance that Ecuador has in the region.

“Since the search began to open our store, the first option was always San Marino, in Guayaquil,” says De Souza, who indicates that he is planning to open another space, this time in Quito.

During these opening days, the store has promotions. For example, bras starting at $36, sizes starting from 32A to 38DDD.

There are Mists & Lotions two for $35 and three for $45.The fragrances areblackberry fizz, glittering iris, vainilla sparkleandchampagne petals.

The option to combine to the customer's taste is another of the store's strategies. For example, for $89 you can purchase a 50 ml perfume plus a mist and a lotion. And for $109 a 100 ml perfume, plus a mist and a lotion.

“The store has regular promotions so that the customer can take products. The prices are very similar to other countries, there are promotions inpanties, 5×3, depending on the quality of the category, cotton and glamour. Promotions in the beauty line,” says De Souza.

All products can also be purchased through the website, which has been operating for two months and, according to De Souza, has had a lot of support.

In 2020, the turnover of the brand recognized for its lingerie was $5.4 billion globally.

The arrival of recognized brands occurs because “Ecuador is experiencing a favorable moment for foreign investment,” he says.María Augusta Terán, commercial manager of DK Management Services, a company that operates in several shopping centers, including San Marino Shopping.

“We have the opportunity to talk with very powerful brands that see in our shopping centers an opportunity to start their operations in the national market, through flagship stores,” says Terán.

And with this opening, employment opportunities grow. Victoria's Secret has21 people working in their first store, the majority are Ecuadorian personnel.

Terán anticipates that citizens will soon receive great surprises from new brands that will arrive at DK shopping centers.
