Latam Ecuador will fly from Quito to Loja from January

Ministry of Transportation and Public Works confirmed the new route

From next January, Latam Ecuador will add to its domestic offer a new route: Quito-Loja-Quito.

The Ministry of Transportation and Public Works, Marcelo Cabrera, confirmed on Tuesday afternoon the new route that will operate this company.

The confirmation of this route occurred after a meeting between the governor of Loja, Mario Mancino; the Undersecretary of Transportation, José Luis Aguilar, and executives of Latam Ecuador.

In that appointment aspects of the operation and the efforts were addressed for the start of these flights to the Catamayo airport, near Loja.

Before the pandemic, the TAME airline flew to that city. Aeroregional later entered that market.

Last year, Latam made a validation flight on the Quito-Loja route using one of its Airbus aircraft, because in its plans I was reaching that destination.

Latam Ecuador belongs to Latam Airlines Group, which is in the process of leaving the bankruptcy law in the United States.
