Latam Ecuador announces outsourcing of passenger service

The operations to be outsourced will be taken over by current service providers, the airline says.

Latam Ecuador announced last Friday the outsourcing of passenger service operations through certified companies.

This decision was made in the face of the global health crisis and because the operation still does not exceed 50% compared to the pre-pandemic era.

“To face this uncertain scenario, the Group (Latam) must execute a transformation process in its way of operating, seeking to be more efficient for its long-term sustainability; Therefore, it has made the difficult decision to outsource Passenger Service operations through companies certified by the competent authority,” said Latam.

And he added that Grupo Latam has joined efforts so that “external suppliers incorporate the vast majority of employees who leave the company into their payrolls.”

“Faced with this difficult and painful news, Grupo LATAM thanks and recognizes each of the officials affected by this decision, for their dedication and professionalism,” he concluded.
