Guayusa is listed on the Quito Stock Exchange

Waykana becomes the first small and medium-sized company to participate in the stock market. In 2020, it billed more than $750,000.

Waykana, an Ecuadorian company that works in the cultivation, production and export of guayusa to create products, became the first SME (small and medium-sized company) in Ecuador to be listed on the Quito Stock Exchange.

The company stands out for the beverage of theguayusa leaf, from the Amazon, which is present in ten countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Italy.

The Superintendence of Companies together with the Quito Stock Exchange approved the operation of Waykana to participate in the stock market.

Tea and energy drink They are part of the Waykana product catalogue, which means working quickly as a group to reach a goal.

Initially they have come out with 220 shares in the stock market for a value of $909 each. At the moment the company has a thousand own shares for just over a million dollars.

Since the company was founded in 2015, it has had constant growth and expects to establish a thousand new points of sale in Ecuador and in the world.

In 2020 it reached a turnover of more than $750,000.60% of its sales are concentrated in the international market and 40% in the national one. They are found in major supermarkets and in certain applications ofdelivery.

“Since its inception, Waykana prepared itself financially with transparency and responsibility to respond to investors, shareholders and the general public. It fills us with pride to be the first SME to be part of this new chapter in the country's financial history and to strengthen the national treasure of our Amazon by making it known in our country and the entire world," said Juan David Gómez, one of the company founders.

The Waykana plant is located between Archidona and Tena, in the province of Napo.
