The United States, the country that has applied the most doses of vaccines against Covid-19

Ginebra –

National health networks have administered 103.8 million vaccines against COVID-19 worldwide, a number that already exceeds 103.3 million cases of this disease on the planet, according to data from global health ministries and the World Health Organization (WHO).

In most cases, two doses of the same vaccine are necessary to be fully immunized, so the figure does not mean that more than 100 million people are already vaccinated (it is estimated that only about 11 million have received all doses).

The United States is the country that has administered the most doses (32 million), followed by China (24 million), the European Union (13.5 million) and the United Kingdom (10 million).

In relative numbers,Israel is the only country in the world where more than half of its population has received at least one dose of the vaccine (58%), followed by the United Arab Emirates (34 percent), the Seychelles islands (31 percent) and again the United Kingdom (15%), always according to figures from the Ministries of Health.

The International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) warned today that70% of the vaccines administered so far have been used in the 50 richest countries, while in the poorest 50 this percentage is only 0.1 percent.
