Equair postpones the start of its operations until January 10, 2022

The Ecuadorian airline had planned to cross the skies for the first time on December 22 of this year.

The operations planned for December 22, by the Ecuadorian airline, are postponed for January 10, 2022.

The airline communicated this December 21 that "consequently the stress of propagation control of the pandemic because of the COVID-19, has made the decision, together with the Ecuadorian aeronautical authority, to suspend the final stage of certification of the airline and postpone the start of the operations."

Until January 10, 2022, according to the statement, Equáir estimates to start its national operations.

The company stressed that, one of the reasons for making the decision and avoiding spreading the virus, it is because within the human certification team formed by Equair and the aeronautical authority "several cases of Covid have been presented in the last 48 hours."

Finally, the firm said that all passengers who had acquired tickets will be contacted to be relocated and not affect their scheduled activities.
