The Chinese ambassador, Chen Guoyou, announced that another 500,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine to Ecuador will arrive next month.
As announced by the President of the Republic, Guillermo Lasso, this SaturdayA 700,000 doses of vaccines arrivedof the Pharmaceutical Company China Syovac.
This vaccine lot was received at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Tababela, by Alfredo Borrero, vice president of the Republic; Ximena Garzón, Minister of Health; Mauricio Montalvo, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Chen Guoyou, ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Ecuador.
The first president reported on his Twitter account that 500,000 vaccines are bought by Ecuador and 200,000 are donated due to his investiture as president of Ecuador.
The Vaccination Plan of the current Government, called 9/100, begins this Monday, May 31, 2021 and seeks to vaccinate 9 million people in the first 100 days of government. This plan is made up of 3 phases: we save lives, we take care of ourselves, we reactivate, according to the postulates announced by Minister Garzón. To achieve this objective, the government has installed 950 brigades and more than 300 vaccination centers distributed in the 24 provinces of the country."This arrival of vaccines has shown that spirit and ability to fulfill the commitment of our Chinese companies, in addition has shown that the two countries, China and Ecuador, as friendly countries always support each other in difficult times," said Chen Guoyou, ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Ecuador.
Next arrival of more vaccines
The ambassador announced thatNext month another 500,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine will arrive in Ecuador.
“We would like to strengthen vaccine cooperations between China and Ecuador to help the plan of President Guillermo Lasso to vaccinate9 million people in 100 days ", the ambassador concluded.
"For us this is a very special moment, it is a moment of hope, it is really a breath because we get a cargo of 700,000 vaccines from the Chinese government, we thank the Chinese government for this support," said Ximena Garzón.
This vaccination plan is first oriented to mortality, reduce the amount of disease we have in our people, to reactivate economically to decongest the hospital system, that is the most important for us, said the minister.

The Minister of Health announced that in the coming weeks 3′700,000 doses of vaccines of the different pharmaceuticals will arrive: Syovac, Astrazeneca and Pfizer.
