Seat availability increases to that destination
The offer of flights between New York and Guayaquil has grown in this second half. The American companies Eastern and JetBlue began operating new flights on this route this month.
Eastern now operates five weekly frequencies on this route: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The company decided to increase its flights due to the high demand that is registered.
Through agencies, the airline offers tickets from $615 with the possibility of traveling with a 32 kg suitcase and a carry-on of 10 kg.
The New York-Guayaquil route was the first with which Eastern began to operate in Latin America after its new version was launched on the market.
Last year it opened the route to Miami, but a few weeks ago it decided to cancel those flights.
Eastern operates in Ecuador with Boeing 767-200 and 300 aircraft that have capacity for 250 passengers in different classes.
This airline intends to operate in Quito with the route to New York. I had tentatively set September as the month for those flights.
While JetBlue began this month to have two daily flights on the New York-Guayaquil-New York route. The first flight arrives in Guayaquil at 05:20 and departs at 07:00 from the city. The second service arrives at 20:07 and leaves again for the city of skyscrapers at 21:40.
In addition to these flights, JetBlue maintains its operations on the Fort Lauderdale-Guayaquil route, where it competes with Spirit.
Latam Ecuador has momentarily suspended that direct route to New York.
