An agreement was signed between the Ministry of Telecommunications and the Information Society and the Ecuadorian Chamber of Electronic Commerce
Ten thousand entrepreneurs and MSMEs will be trained in electronic commerce and financial inclusion. In addition, the first 10 of 1,000 Scholarships of Commerce Mind, an international platform specialized in the field, will be delivered for those who already have previous knowledge and wish to professionalize.
This, within the framework of the signing of an inter -institutional cooperation agreement, between the Telecommunications Minister and the Information Society,Vianna Maino, and the president of the Ecuadorian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CEC),Leonardo Ottati,to enhance electronic commerce and the digital economy in Ecuador.
Ecuador reached a business volume in electronic commerce of$ 2.3 billionIn 2020, which represented a growth of$ 700 million (43.75 %)compared to what was achieved in 2019; and by 2021 a growth is not less than a double digit.
Meanwhile, also as part of this agreement, the use of the country's infocentros will be enhanced to train millions of its users on social networks for electronic commerce, with Facebook EDUCA, and in efficient practices of the Latin American Institute of Electronic Commerce.

Meanwhile, Ottati highlighted public-private cooperation to create a national and regional electronic commerce market and said that "it is time to declare Ecuador as a digital nation", in reference to the transformation that the country is experiencing.
The event was present by the Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Darío Herrera, who witnessed the firm's honor.
