Chamber of Industries of Guayaquil launches initiative to attract investment to the country

The guild will create a work space to delineate strategies. Private, public sector and academy actors will participate in the project.

With the aim of contributing to the country's economic and productive reactivation, theGuayaquil industries (CIG)launches the investment initiative for the reactivation of Ecuador.

The project, which will group different actors from unions to the Academy, seeks to "promote concrete actions within the private sector and recommend decision making to the different instances of power." The CIG qualifies the initiative as a space for reflection and action. In addition, it emphasizes that by promoting investments a virtuous effect is created, that is, the generation of employment opportunities for two out of three Ecuadorians.

Francisco Jarrín, president of the guild, He pointed out on January 20 that in this way it will be achieved that the investment environment, legal certainty and trust are consolidated. "There are many things in which you can work so that Ecuador becomes an investment attraction center, for example, strengthening what public-private alliances are and taking advantage of the existing as decree 68 that already determines a reduction in processing," he said.

The leader also added that the sum of efforts by the different participating actors to aim towards the increase in local and international investmentsIt will be the main engine of reactivation of the economy in 2022.

Jarrín explained that he will work hand in hand with the Ecuadorian Institute of Political Economics (IEEP), entity with 30 years of experience. "In the next few days we will sign an agreement with them to work the studies, analysis and proposals that leave the project to, in this way, sustain in a technical way the formal orders that will be made to the local and national authorities," he explained.

"We call on the unity of all the actors of society to join this initiative, so that the collective and selfless effort leads to the well -being of Ecuadorians," said the head of the CIG.
