Airline confirmed that route will be reactivated on July 1 and that the tickets are already on sale.
From this Wednesday, June 1, you can already buy the tickets for the Cuenca-Guayaquil route that Latam Airlines will reactivate from July 1, 2022. The initial rate will be from $ 39.
The dates and prices were reaffirmed at a meeting that had representatives of theMinistry of Transportation and Public Works, Latam Airlines Ecuador and the Azuay production cameras.
The Cuenca-Guayaquil Air Route, and vice versa, will have five weekly frequencies, and from now the tickets can be purchased on the official website of the airline.
The Deputy Minister of Transportation and Public Works Services, José Luis Aguilar, informed that this state portfolio, with the support of local institutions and Latam, have been working on the reactivation of the route. "This initiative will undoubtedly strengthen the tourist, productive and economic activity between the two cities," said Aguilar.
"We believe that the demand for connection from Cuenca has been growing. And from today you can buy flights, to make use from July 1, in which the route will be operating," said Mónica Fistrovic, CEO of Latam Airlines Ecuador, according to a statement from the Ministry.
For his part, Andrés Robalino, executive director of the Chamber of Industries, Production and Employment From Cuenca, he indicated that eight years ago Cuenca had 18 daily flights and, for various situations, ended with an airline flying. "Now we see that the joint work between the public and private sector gives results, and that we have to continue doing," he added.
Within the framework of economic reactivation, Latam plans to increase domestic operations by 163 %.
The Government stressed that it works to reactivate the country's air connectivity, generating conditions that strengthen frequencies and routes in the interior of the country and also promoting Ecuador as a destination for international airlines.
