Restriction of flights with Brazil, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Portugal, German minister announces

Germany plans to drastically reduce its air traffic with the United Kingdom, Brazil, South Africa and Portugal, countries it considers the most affected by coronavirus variants, in order to protect itself from new infections, the Interior Minister indicated on Thursday.

“We are focusing on (virus) mutation zones for this proposal to restrict travel,” Horst Seehofer told reporters, explaining that the German government will present a plan on the matter on Friday.
