Grupo Nobis, DK Management and Corporación La Favorita integrate the new Latin American chamber of shopping centers to strengthen this industry

The new chamber will offer Latin American shopping centers, their tenants, operators and administrators, guidelines to accelerate their growth.

To promote the development of the shopping center industry in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, the Latin American Chamber of the Shopping Center Industry (CLICC) was created this Tuesday.

The signing of this document took place in Cartagena (Colombia) with the participation of Ecuadorian, Puerto Rican, Peruvian, Paraguayan, Chilean, Colombian, Argentine companies, among others.

On the part of Ecuador, The founding members are DK Management Services, Corporación La Favorita, Grupo Nobis and Shopping Management.

Cristina Moshenek, Corporate Affairs Manager at DK, highlighted the importance of this entity. “We will work to include all the shopping centers in the country in this new proposal that is CLICC. We are sure thatThis chamber will allow us to work together with other countries to share and promote best practices in the industry, within the country and Latin America,” he noted.

The chamber will operate through four lines of action: promotion of knowledge, relationships andnetworking, information management and recognition of excellence. In addition, it will provide useful tools and mechanisms, which seek to position the region as a reference for growth and development for the industry in the world, as well as generate better conditions for its consolidation.

While, through the implementation of the work plan, the new chamber will offer Latin American shopping centers, as well as their tenants, operators and administrators, guidelines, guides and relevant information, which will allow them to accelerate their growth and potential, addressing to the particularities of Latin America and responding to trends on the global stage.

In addition to Ecuador, there are representatives from Argentina, such as Grupo Libertad and IRSA Properties; from Peru, with Plaza San Miguel, Jockey Plaza, Real Plaza; and from Puerto Rico, with Empresas Fonalledas, Caparra Center and CéntricoThere are also associations that make up it, such as Acecolombia and Acecogua, from Colombia and Guatemala, respectively.

Carlos Betancourt, executive director of Acecolombia, points out that “being a bridge of growth between the different associations, organizations and members of the shopping center industry is the reason for existing and working of this new CLICC organization, which represents the union of a dynamic union, committed to the generation of value, the profitable growth of the sector and the constant development that invites us to look towards the future together.”
