Forum will touch on competitiveness and post-COVID recovery in the countries of the region

The event will be virtual and organized by Ecuador that holds the pro tempore presidency of the Inter -American Competitiveness Network (RIAC)

Next Thursday, February 25, theXI Américas Competitiveness Forum, with virtual modality. It is a regional event that will deal with two main themes:"Re-defining the Competitiveness Agenda of the Americas"and"Priorities for a post-covid-19 recovery".

The event is organized by Ecuador that holds the Presidencyfor the timeof the Inter -American Competitiveness Network (RIAC), made up of high government authorities of the 34 Member States of theOrganization of American States (OAS), representatives of the private sector, the academy and international organizations.

During the forum, the plenary meeting of ministers, high authorities and competitiveness advice of the Americas that aims to lay the foundations for a new competitiveness agenda, with the reference the results obtained during the preparatory meeting of November 24, 2020.

This new regional competitiveness agenda will include recommendations and actions to support the recovery and economic resilience of the countries, the exchange of good practices and regional cooperation, promoting digital transformation as a central axis, to reduce the effects caused by COVID-19.

The forum will also provide a space for dialogue between the public and private sectors; presentations of studies and technical exchanges; Bilateral meetings and events to expand networks of contacts, business and new commercial relations between the member countries of the Network.
