China became the main export destination of the Andean Community

The main destination of the Andean community exports in 2021 was China, representing 19.3 % of its total exports. This was reported by the secretary general of the CAN, Jorge Hernando Pedraza, when presenting the results of the statistical publication “Foreign trade of goods 2021 ″.

After China, there are the United States with 18.5 %, the European Union with 11.8 %, and, fourth, the CAN member countries themselves, with a 6.4 %participation of the total.

This publication was prepared with information provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of Bolivia, the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) of Colombia, the Central Bank of Ecuador and the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) of Peru.

According to Pedraza, the main products exported by CAs were: raw oil oils, copper minerals, golden gold shapes for non -monetary use, type bananas (cavendish valery) Fresco, Bituminous Hulla, among others.

With respect to imports from the Andean community, these also originated, in the first place, in China with 25.1 %participation, followed by the United States with 20.2 %, the European Union with 11.6 %, Mercosur with 10.5 %, and in fifth place the member countries of the CAN, with a 6.1 %participation of the total.

Among the main extra -community products are diesel, mobile phones, light oils (light) of oil or bituminous mineral, gasoline without lead tetraetil for aviation engines; Hard yellow corn, except for planting; Automatic machines for data processing or processing, digital, laptops and others.

Pedraza also specified that, in 2021, the United States was the first destination of exports of manufactured products from the Andean countries with a 19.6 %participation, followed by the CAN countries with 12.7 %and China with 10.6 %.
