Two will be international and an internal.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, Ecuador will have three new air routes that will be operated by the Colombian Avianca airline, two will be international and will leave Guayaquil.
The first will be destined for New York, United States, since December, and the second Lima, Peru, but the latter is planned to start in January.
The third route will be internal and will connect to the city of Quito with Coca, in the Amazon.
"We are seeing a new demand from the passengers and our intentions are to continue growing," said Julián Laverde, Vice President of Operations of Avianca, according to a statement from the Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Public Works, Marcelo Cabrera, expressed his wishes that the airline may include other destinations on his routes.
